I hope you do not mind my sending you a message here but it was too long for your text messaging and I could not see an email for you (could be I just missed it but I did look, honest! LOL)

The girl that responded to me in your (I am assuming and hopefully not making an ass of myself) Florida Fetish community is only 16. I am not sure of your take on this for your community but did feel you may want to know this information

Hi there. Thanks for letting me know. I don't think age is a problem on that particular community, since there are no graphic posts. Some events, such as concerts and fashion shows, may allow minors to attend. I don't know. But anyway, I don't think it's a violation of LJ's TOS, do you?

Actually, the reason I brought it up is because you have the 'must be 18+...' disclaimer on the front page of the community. Sometimes there is a fine line and if someone does post something more intimate you may be stuck with a bunch of people that can view the pages but they are underage which could potentially be a problem for you later on.

There is a way to prevent others from viewing the pages until they are members by simply making it a friends only community. This way the community is not closed to everyone, but you can better control who is viewing the pages if they are not members.

Just a suggestion. When I started Living_ds I had it open but now that it is more intimate and there are so many members the new owners have many of the posts closed to the general public and you are required to join first so that they can check your account to see that you are of age. They have first posts moderated to doubly ensure this.

Some things to think about at least.

Yes, definitely something to think about. So who is the underage member?

On gothdolls she posted a bio and she is only 16.

I don't think she is actually a member but just felt a need to post an invite for me to join the gothdolls community. Not my style but to each their own.

I would like to also ask permission to post an announcement about my kinkauctions website when I make my new renovations in a couple of weeks. I am not too sure on your rules about advertising businesses and would like to clarify first if that is okay.

I don't have any problem with posting advertising, as long as it's relevant. The community is not terribly active, anyway. If it becomes a problem in the future I might have to change that, but for now I figure anything that is of use to people of the community is fine.
